the movement arena präsentiert Highlights wie das «international urban dance battle» (Infos & Anmeldung siehe unten), Tanzshows und Rap Konzerte. Lokale Grössen und Nachwuchstalente finden hier einen Platz, um sich zu präsentieren und auszudrücken.
Die Arena wird vom gemeinnützigen Verein the movement in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Jugendkulturfestival Basel (JKF) organisiert.

Battle Format:
Das Internationale Urban Dance Battle in the movement arena am JKF 2019 fordert die kreativste Seite der Tänzer und Tänzerinnen der urbanen Stile heraus und bietet ein unterhaltsames Spektakel für alle. In Teams treten die Tänzer/innen 2 vs. 2 gegeneinander an.
Das Battle bietet Platz für das Mischen von Stilen, Freestyle Performance und Anwendung diverser Techniken. Mindestens einer/eine der Crew sollte einen Hintergrund als B-Boy oder B-Girl haben.
Das Battle wird eines der Highlights am JKF 2019 sein!
Judges, DJs und Host werden in den nächsten Wochen präsentiert – seid gespannt!

On the 6th and 7th of September 2019 the movement arena on the Münsterplatz in Basel will be the Mecca for Hiphop-culture in Switzerland.
At the 11th edition of Jugendkulturfestival Basel (JKF) 2019, the movement arena presents some highlights like the international urban dance battle, dance shows and rap concerts. Local artists and up-and-coming talents find a place to be present and express themselves artistically in the arena.
The arena is a collaboration of the nonprofit associations the movement and Jugendkulturfestival Basel (JKF).
International urban dance battle: info & registration
Date, time: September 7, 2019 – start: 17:15 pm / Location: Münsterplatz, Basel
Battle format:
The international urban dance battle at the movement arena during JKF 2019 challenges the most creative side of the dancers of urban styles and offers an entertaining spectacle for all. In teams the dancers compete 2 vs. 2 against each other.
The Battle offers space for mixing styles, freestyle performance and applying various techniques. At least one dancer of the
crew should have a background as a B-Boy or B-Girl. The battle will be one of the biggest highlights at the JKF 2019!
